In a classic match between two undefeated teams, La Dolfina Brava defeated Ellerstina 7-6 in overtime to win the inaugural Argentine Open Women's Polo Championship. The match took place Saturday, December 2, on field 2 of the Argentine Polo Field in Palermo.
Nina Clarkin, the top-rated female player in the world (10), made the golden goal on a 30-yard penalty shot three minutes and 54 seconds into the supplemental chukker.
Six teams between 23 and 30 goals (female handicaps) participated in the historic tournament, including the best players from Argentina, Germany, the United States, France and England.
